Covid-19 Information – Update July 2021

Covid-19 led to an immediate explosion in need for Befrienders and to the rapid need for a big Food Pod operation.

Covid-19 also has delayed the effective start of the People’s Shed, and we are expecting to get that properly underway during July. We will start construction of our workshop, with five workplaces and a range of DIY tools (plus IT) shortly. We will be painting the workshop floor with our members soon as well.

As Covid has, perhaps, retreated, numbers needing help have reduced, but the services have continued.

Most of our brilliant volunteers have continued to do their job; long-term friendships  have developed.
